Metta World Peace is a dynamic expression of the band’s evolution.

Returning to their roots of home recording, a method that served them well on previous projects such as “Premium Drifter” and various cassette-only releases, the band enlisted a talented roster of artists, including Evil Pimp, N8NOFACE, Andres Chavez, and Adam Klopp (Choir Boy). These artists lent their unique voices to the album, which Tobias Grave recorded in various locations across the country, including his former home of Portland and new home in Chicago.

Every element of the song has its clear space. Given the more “demo-like” approach, there isn’t much layering like on Dead Kids, R.I.P. City or band-feeling like on Canary Yellow. Songs like the instant classic “Molly” or “Behind the Rain” work perfectly this way.
