Like with every UMO project this one is very different from the rest. Is an hour long double album full of mellow and groovy tracks. The album takes a bit of inspiration from the 70s and 80s more specifically the sounds of Jazz-Rock and Soft Rock; like Ruban is really channeling his inner Steely Dan on this thing. That being said, this still sounds like UMO record especially with the band’s signature lo-fi production and I actually feel like UMO hasn’t been this lo-fi probably since II.

Overall, Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s fifth album is great and easily one of their best. It’s the groups most relaxed and chilled out record yet.
