TY SEGALL & WHITE FENCE - Hair LP

Hair is one of those rare collaborations where the artists complement each other perfectly and balance out each other's weaknesses. White Fence do weird meandering 60s psych rock, and Ty Segall is known for catchy and straight forward garage punk. It's not obvious who contributes what on the album, but the way I imagine it, Ty provides the hooks and edge and White Fence provides the weirdness that makes it interesting. The result, Hair, is an album that holds up over time and might be the best thing in either artist's discography.
