"Tron - Ares' score was one of the movie's biggest pulls as Trent and Atticus put on the NIN branding and with it came heavy expectation.

For my money, it was lukewarm and NIN in marketing only, it didn't just fall short in comparison to other NIN works but the duo's long scoring career.

Suddenly, just when I wanted to forget about this project, NIN shadows dropped Divergence. A proper remix/extension of Tron - Ares.

It isn't just a remix album as it contains many non-remix tracks all which are far more intricate and complex than what we've been offered on the original release, they are more in line with the qualities you've come to know from Trent, not only that, NIN too, these pieces are creative, melodically interesting and full of sudden turns, everything the initial release lacked, it begs to question why are these tracks so different? They're louder, bolder and dynamic, everything Tron - Ares initial release was not. It really astounds me the best material from the soundtrack is kept here."
