TIGHTS - Bad Hearts 7"EP
Limited edition of 500 copies.
Highly recommended.
The official reissue of the maiden release on Cherry Red Records in 1978 has come back to roost at HoZac Archival, making this gem of 1st wave UK punk accessible again, as you won’t be able to stop playing it.
Responsible for the first two releases on Cherry Red, Worcester outfit The Tights were described by label boss Iain McNay as “Malvern’s answer to The Sex Pistols – 15/16-year-old kids in a punk band.” Originally named The Jerks (because they began by writing “jerky songs”), The Tights debuted in June 1978 with Bad Hearts, a Single of the Week in Record Mirror and endorsed by John Peel.
