Fresh out of high school and already firing on all cylinders, the fierce and feisty Italian four-piece Spleen release "Making Plans For Nigel".

To say that Spleen are the new kids on the block defines the phrase in the very best way possible as this fiercely aggressive four piece from Florence exploded onto the rock’n’roll landscape earlier this year through the release of their debut double A-sided EP Dystopic School. This gave us our first taster of their very own blend of grunge and punk-infused noise which was a clear sign of what was to come.

With its roaring guitars and hard driving rhythm section, Making Plans For Nigel is a barnstorming take on this iconic song by XTC fostering all the energy and bravado that Spleen no doubt bring to their live performances.

The band chose this as the A-Side for their new single because it embodies a theme that everyone, including the anarchic free spirits that are Spleen, can personally relate to. Frontman Samuele says: “The idea behind the video is the same as the one behind the XTC song… trying to escape from the impositions that life puts in front of you.”
