Regina returns to form with one of her strongest albums yet. Sure, none of the songs sound like immediate hits but then you realize the tracks that are the most memorable are the longer ones, the ones harder to imagine being played in some tv show. Songs like "Obsolete" and "Grand Hotel" sound like they're coming from Greta Garbo's grave. There is an indeed a theme of loneliness running through the album and Spektor's lyrics are able to evoke time and place so well. The result is cinematic and gorgeous.
