On what eventually became their last tour, the Minutemen handed out ballots to audience members to vote on their favorite songs by the band. A few of these ballots also wound up as inserts to their final studio Lp, "Three Way Tie(For Last)". While the results were still coming in and being tabulated, singer Dennes Boon was killed in a terrible accident when his girlfriend fell asleep at the wheel of their van on a late night interstate drive. After a considerable period of deep grief, surviving members George Hurley and Mike Watt took the results of the vote and compiled this album. It's not just a 'greatest hits' collection, tho'. These are all alternate takes of the songs, some demos, audience recordings, and soundboards. Most of the time, the sound quality is decent on this two-record set, and even when it gets a tad 'lo-fi' the music loses none of its charm.
