LIVE - Throwing Copper 2LP
25th anniversary edition.
180 gram vinyl.
Insert with lyrics and photographs of the band members.
Throwing Copper was Live's breakthrough third album. The production of the record is markedly different from their previous releases, and reflects an effort from the band to "strive for an epic sound" which they arguably achieved. The band sounds tight and powerful on these tracks, although as Stereogum noted, Kowalczyk's lyrics are "musical gibberish" (and they would be more so on the band's subsequent release). Live captured lightning in a bottle with several standout tracks, including I Alone, Lightning Crashes, Selling the Drama, All Over You, and the powerful White, Discussion. There is not a filler track on this entire album.
This 25th Anniversary edition add three non-album tracks, which are enjoyable for historical purposes, but properly left off the main album.
