Underrated stroke of genius.

This amazing work is considered by all as a non-album EP, but clocking in at just under 52 mins on the vinyl version (and not, alas, at 45:33 as I wholeheartedly expected), in the old days this would have been considered a bona-fide album.

James Murphy delivers as usual, but the format allows him to draw the line that joins his beloved Can with more obscure references like Black Devil Disco Club, Pigbag and obviously Ash Ra Tempel's guitarist Manuel Göttsching (whose 'E2-E4' album was this one's inspiration), visiting more current tendencies along the way like minimal techno --only, most of it played out with live instruments, and most of them by Murphy himself at that... Genius.
