Maus's vision encapsulates elements of punk rock, gothic pop, new romantic, '80s synth soundtracks and aching ballads, transforming them into a overtly passionate form of modern underground pop music that comes complete with dreamy arrangements, saturated synth tones, lo-fi beats and Maus's signature ghostly baritone.

Statement from management:

"John Maus was not part of the insurrection in the Capitol on Jan 6 2021, he was not present at the riot.

He was in Washington DC the same day to meet up with a film director about scoring a future project, this director was present to document the rally and invited him for a meeting.

John's political beliefs are well documented as being left of left and needless to say he does not support hateful or divisive causes.

John does not support Donald Trump.
