Falkous lyrics follow you about like advertising jingles. The 'surrealist' tag follows him about as if to say they're really just witty nonsense. There's whole worlds in these songs, the rhythm of the words against the music, the rhymes, the jarring images that familiarity brings sense to. Mark E Smith, Morrissey, Jarvis Cocker, he's at the highest table.

There are a few conventional 'rock/punk' tunes but the range of the rest, a little too much range at first, is staggering when you think how lean and mean the bass, guitar drum and keyboard riffs are that have gone into the construction.
