This four track debut EP explores themes of Australian culture and identity. Introduced by Uncle Bunna Lawrie, a Mirning Elder and Whale Dreamer of the Nullarbor coast, the first track, ‘Nullarbor’ follows a personal journey across the remote South of Australia and the revelations that can be struck from adventure. ‘Small Town Pub’ is a reflection on culture and conflicting ideas of national identity. The title track ‘Backyard’, is a song about the network of support created by different people in your life.
