The Fall's "The Unutterable" is their 21st LP (wow). It marks their peak foray into electronica.

DIY work ethic on show as always. Blurry landscapes of electronic sounds congeal to The Fall's signature stripped down guitars to great effect. The simple instrumentation leaves space to be filled by Smith's caustic vocal standout.

Any good Fall LP is, of course, not without Mark's lyrical abtrusiety in abundance. A pseudo-story ramble tribute a la William Blake (W.B.), disco roundabouts, PO inconveniences, Adidas androgenites, and dealership suckers admission, among more.
