DAVID BOWIE - Black Tie White Noise 2LP
Nicely priced. One copy only.
Bowie had finished his tenure with Tin Machine and was trying think of what his next album should be. He attended a dinner party and was introduced to the newly retired Iman. Bowie's attraction to her was immediate and they got married. Her parents being Muslim meant they couldn't use traditional Christian wedding hymns at the wedding, so Bowie wrote new music for the wedding. Bowie returned to the studio with Nile Rodgers. Rodgers wanted to make a more commercial friendly album, but Bowie said he didn't want to make a "Let's Dance 2". Rodgers thought Bowie was being stupid and called in Iman to set him straight, but she took his side. With a new muse and new musical ideas, he was ready to dazzle everyone again.
