Sympathy For The Record Industry
GUN CLUB - The Las Vegas Story LP
Definitely the most accessible of the pre-hiatus studio material - these tunes do a great job of bridging the gap between the explosive, unchained Duckworth era and the far more straightforward '87-era lineup. The record's best cuts, "Eternally Is Here" (an exhilarating amalgamation of the many musical themes touched on by Miami and Death Party) and the ubiquitous rock'n'roller "Moonlight Motel", are excellent examples of this. It's a shame that "My Dreams" and "Walking With The Beast" never hit the FM airwaves; both songs are classics that could and should have received far more mainstream appreciation.
