The Circle Jerks' debut is a definite hardcore classic with many strengths: Keith Morris is a wild and engaging frontman, and Greg Hetson throws off lots of great guitarwork that's surprisingly catchy and fun to learn on guitar. The group's early Roger Rogerson/Lucky Lehrer rhythm section is my favorite particular era of the band, and the two play a hugely underappreciated role in ensuring that the super-fast tracks remain grounded into an eminently musical approach.
