Presumably the 'beauty' is the pale and drawn young Mould sucking a cigarette and the 'ruin' the grizzled, bespectacled version to his left. That's what 30 years of making really noisy music and screaming a lot does to a man but Bob Mould is still going strong. This was his 2014 album featuring the fizzing pop textures and growling vocal dynamics he has made famous with Husker Du and Sugar and all of those solo LPs.
