From Toronto, Ontario, Anagram has no to zero New Order in their sound but a whole lot of Joy Division waits ominously in the sidelines. Bassist Jeff Peers and drummer Clayton Churcher hold down the back-to-bleak groove while twins Matt Mason on vox and Willy Mason on guitar submit themselves to the beat supreme, never stepping over or on it. Majewski is beat, pounding merciless beat and the best rock 'n roll is beat and there's nothing less than that. Anagram gets more, way more, from less.

It's brilliant post-punk noise-rock that lives up to the hope. On the great Telephone Explosion label.
