Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings really capture the sound of funk and soul in the '60s and '70s. In fact they sometimes capture it too well, there's nothing wrong with a revival movement per se but they sometimes sound more like they're simply copying the old sound rather than taking it into a new direction. Still this is a very good album.
