HELDON - Allez-Teia LP

Richard Pinhas wasn't messing around about his Fripp-ophilia. First track is titled "In the Wake of King Fripp!" But the second Heldon album is resplendent with the Frippertronic loveliness that usually got quashed by King Crimson's instincts to rock out angularly. No such problem here. While much of Heldon's music was marked by a dark, dystopic streak that manifested itself as icy cybo-rock, Allez Teia opts for aqueous Fripp/Eno sonics, with mellotron and acoustic guitar accents sparkling amid the drone-floes. Exquisite.
