DANZIG - Danzig III - How The Gods Kill LP

Highly recommended.

Another classic by Danzig and his crew, heavier and more raging than its predessor but not quite as consistent as the debut.

Side two has some classics and some derivative slower and melodramatic songs. The band's forte is when they bring the crushing blues riffs, and side two offers that in spades, showing several highlights of the bands career.

Once again Rubin's production is flawless, sounding dynamic and atmospheric, as well as the band never sounding better, probably giving the performance of their careers.

Danzig's a madman as usual, going over the top in both good, and bad ways.
