"From Ohio in the late ’80s and early ’90s, this is definitely my sort of thing, but they’re brand new to me. It’s definitely got a REPLACEMENTS feel to it. It’s jangly and raw and has a good dash of country and folk going on. I gather from the liner notes and some online research that this is a reissue, but that’s not a certainty for me. There’s an honesty in this one that’s compelling. It’s also pretty well-done. It’s catchy and melodic, gritty, and really both fun and cool to listen to.
