Madeline Babuka Black, aka Slippers, writes, plays and sings such endearing indie-pop tunes, sometimes leaning toward sunny power pop like the gorgeous "Til You Know".
Slippers 08, especially in the last ten minutes or so, is just a more refined (yet still scrappy and loveable) execution of the previous album's Sarah Records-worshipping twee formula.
