Black Beer White Lies have been gigging around Melbourne for a few years now, finally unleashing their brand of sweaty garage-punk-pub rock in the form of their debut 12” All Over The Shop.

Not to be taken too seriously – I mean, their band name acronym sounds like some kind of sporting league for the not-so-fit would-be athlete – the six tracks cover topics such as hating your job, loving your Kingswood, imbibing whiskey and fighting with the wife (and I need to be careful here) resulting in another night spent in the doghouse.

They could easily support the Cosmic Psychos, Amyl & the Sniffers or The Johnnys as there’s an element of “cowpunk” to this punchy, raucous rock ‘n roll.

These four shadey geezers are launching the 12” at the Mr. Boogie Man Bar on Hoddle Street TONIGHT from 8pm with support from Underground Velvetz – see ya there! Leave the Kingswood at home.
