Marnie Stern took ten years between this one and her last one, yes--she spent the intervening time being The Queen Of Late Nite, by which I mean she was lead guitarist in Seth Meyers's band--but this record basically picks up right where she left off.
Which is great! Her kind of absolutely wacky guitar-noise-pop is exactly what we need right now. And this album really does feel like a reemergence, like a crocus pushing up through the February snow.
