At least a handful of these songs are classics, including the beautifully-written, Jacques Brel-esque River Guard, the Lou Reed-inspired Hit the Ground Running, the sparse indie-folk of Teenage Spaceship and I Could Drive Forever, a bleary-eyed road trip into melancholia. This is probably the best entry point in the catalog of both Smog and Bill Callahan.
