Highly recommended.

A dream pop trippy minimalist kinda deal, with Sonic boom playing drones and producing it and Cheval Sombre doing hushed vocals and guitar.... super chilled 45.

Following a successful year after the release of an album with Dean Wareham, Cheval Sombre returns and continues with his own-brand of minimalistic dream laded pop, interweaving drones and acoustic guitar with heartbreaking lyrics and melodies. Cheval Sombre creates folk music from the heavens.

Alongside Sonic Boom (Spacemen 3, Spectrum), Cheval Sombre has created two bittersweet songs of love and loss.

Side A 'Been a Lover' flows with a simplistic vibe of loss and yearning whilst the B-side a cover version of a folk song by Alasdair Roberts, takes the traditional folk arrangement of the original and makes it gentle, floating and dreamy.
