The Sydney via Seattle sound is apparent from Tim Rogers' screams and riffage on the Nirvana-esque opener \"Coprolalia\", producer (and Sonic Youth's) Lee Ranaldo keeping things nice and noisy. \"Berlin Chair\" sounds like an early Foo Fighters song before that band even existed. They'd ditch the overt grunginess on subsequent albums and adopt a more power pop style, but Rogers would grow as a distinctive songwriter.
