Somewhere between MC5, Small Faces, James Brown and a wall of emotion and chaos, this record is made of total fire music. Recorded in 2003 at Sweatbox Studios (Austin, RIP), with our longtime friends and owners of the place, Bryan Nelson and Mike Vasquez. It was mixed in 2004 and mastered earlier this year (2016).

Their long and enigmatic name, Total Sound Group Direct Action Committee, conjures all sorts of images to mind, epic as well as political and ethereal. Born on or around the year 2000 in Austin, TX and made up of the following folk:

Mike Carroll (Lord High Fixers, Poison 13) - vocals
Tim Kerr (Poison 13, Big Boys, Lord High Fixers, Up Around the Sun) - gtr
Nick Moulos (Crack Pipes, Attack Formation, Strong Silent Type) - bass
Patrick Benfield (Macklemore Ave.) - B3 organ
Ben Webster (Attack Formation, Society of Friends, Sean Na Na) - drums

Although it’s been 10 years since they've played a show together, this record is an absolutely joyful noise that tears at the speakers and forces you to dance and celebrate life. While they were together every show they played was a snapshot into their chaotic musical world; different every time incorporating horn sections, choirs and sometimes the entire crowd; visceral in every since of the word, their live shows were packed with sweat, guitar feedback, shaking speakers, hearts brimming with positive creative energy, beer-soaked floors and the feeling of family.
