That being said Sebadoh records are almost a world unto themselves, in the way they shoot in all directions, taking their sweet time to be explored and assimilated. Filler is common. Bakesale hangs on the verge of collapse, stares into the abyss, laughs and retreats into another path. It isn't quite predictable or linear.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhile other member's contributions shouldn't be downplayed (Loewenstein did pen \"Careful\" and \"Not Too Amused\") it's Lou Barlow who makes sure it all doesn't sink into oblivion. Even in his early roughly sketched songs it's apparent he's a writer with personality, able to plunge deeper into the psyche than most.
