Initially, Holly Golightly, Kyra LaRubia, Ludella Black, and Bongo Debbie were Thee Headcoats' backup singers before teaming up with Childish for Thee Headcoatees.

They do a masterful job on the mic, injecting the throwback garage rock sound with a funny, feisty personality. Take your pick of a 60s girl group, only add more sexual liberation and sarcasm.

"Run for Your Life" is easily one of the worst Beatles songs, but Thee Headcoatees' version of it is a much-needed snarky retort from a gals' perspective. Also, gotta love the gender-flip on semi-covers like "Melvin" (orig: "Gloria"). "Dirty Old Man" is another highlight; it's pretty hilarious.

Girlsville is pure fun.
